Malacañang Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro Appears Before the NBI To Report FB Page

CLAIRE CASTRO – The Malacañang press official reported to the NBI the alleged death threats made against her through a Facebook page.

Amid the many issues in the Philippine government now, Castro has undeniably hooked social media attention for her quick defenses on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the government most of the time. A lot of people say that the Palace official is an “always ready” person in defending the Chief Executive and the state.

There were also several instances when the Palace official herself gave a personal message for the Filipino people. Amid the supposed massive corruption in the government, Malacañang press office Usec. Claire Castro urged the Filipinos to give 100% love to the country.

It is no secret to the public that aside from corruption issues in the government, Marcos Jr. and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte are not in good terms. Amid the rift between the President and the Vice President, Atty. Claire Castro previously slammed Vice Pres. Sara Duterte saying she’s allegedly like “Chucky” when she’s mad. Both Castro and Duterte previously stressed that they are not best friends.

However, while Atty. Claire Castro has a constant opportunity of expressing herself with an immediate national audience, she also got her share of bashing and criticisms. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Malacañang press officer even received an alleged grave threat on social media that led her to report to NBI.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro reported to NBI the post on the Facebook page Luminous by Trixie Cruz-Angeles and Amet Paglinawan. In the said post, it is stated that if Castro will allegedly be dropped by her “humans”, only her appendix and coccyx will not be damaged as a result of what she has been doing.

“Kailangan ko itong i-report dahil kung may mangyari man sa akin, may nakarecord na kung sino ang mga nagpapakalat ng ganitong klaseng pagbabanta,” the Palace official said.

Atty. Claire Castro claimed that she personally knows Trixie Cruz-Angeles but she does not know Amet Paglinawan. Based on the report, the Malacañang press official admitted that she is not used to receiving “death threats”.

“Hindi ako sanay sa death threats… malinaw na may pagbabanta sa buhay… Importante na maitala muna ang banta dahil ito ang magiging reference point ng mga imbestigador kung sakaling magkatotoo ang pagbabanta,” Castro said.
