Richard Gutierrez Shares a Surprising Truth About His First Project w/ Gerald Anderson
RICHARD GUTIERREZ – Actor Richard Gutierrez has set social media buzzing after opening up about his long-awaited collaboration with Gerald Anderson.
After taking a few weeks off during the recent holiday break, Richard Gutierrez is more than ready to dive back into work and return to the primetime spotlight. The Kapamilya star is set to make another highly anticipated television comeback following the success of his action-drama series “Incognito,” where he starred alongside Ian Veneracion and Daniel Padilla.
This time, Richard is gearing up for another explosive, action-packed project that promises to offer something fresh for viewers. In an exciting development, he will be joining forces with fellow actor Gerald Anderson in a new series to be directed by FM Reyes. The project marks the first collaboration between Richard and Gerald, making it even more intriguing for fans of both actors.
Despite having only a short break after actively promoting their Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry, “Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins,” Richard shared that he is genuinely excited to return to work. According to him, this upcoming project has been something he has long looked forward to.
“I’ve always wanted to work with Gerald. He’s been on my radar to collaborate with, and noong Christmas Special, doon kami nakapag-usap and said ‘let’s work together’.
“So ‘yun, natupad din and finally we’re here. We’re excited. It’s going to be a new chapter for us,” the actor’s statement in an interview with ABS-CBN.
He further emphasized that the collaboration is not only significant for them as actors but also for the network. ”It’s a new chapter for the network and we’re very excited to give our best to this show,” he said.
Richard also expressed his gratitude to Gerald for the kind words the latter has shared about him, particularly regarding his professionalism and acting skills.
“It’s always exciting working with a passionate actor on top of his game like Gerald. We would always be on different shows at the same time, so finally we’re finally collaborating and it’s great.
“It’s great to work with good people and great actors. I’ve been getting that a lot also through the years, na mukha daw kaming magkapatid. So finally!” he said.
While no specific details about the series have been revealed yet, Richard assured fans that the project will be very different from “Incognito.”
“That’s actually one of the challenges that I’m considering now. We have to make it different and I think we’re on the right path. It’s a good start with this show.
“It’s totally different from Incognito. We’re going to tell our own story, our own version of this story. So we’re in good hands.
“We’re working with a great team and we’re very confident na we have a good show on our hands,” said Richard.
