The Supreme Court of the Philippines announced the official release date for September 2025 BAR Results.
The Philippine Supreme Court Public Information Office announced that 2025 Bar Exam results will be released on Wednesday afternoon (January 7, 2026). The release will be conducted during a special en banc session to decode the bar exam results involving the opening of the sealed envelopes with the names of passers.
13,193 aspiring lawyers took the September 2025 BAR Examinations, which is the highest number of admitted candidates in BAR exam history. The licensure exams were held on September 7, 10, and 14, 2025, at regional testing centers around the country.
BAR SUMMARY OF RESULTS
The Philippine Bar Examination is a yearly test given to those who want to become lawyers in the country. It is organized and supervised by the Supreme Court of the Philippines through its Bar Examination Committee.
Unlike other professional licenses, the bar exam is not handled by the Professional Regulation Commission.
For many law graduates, the bar exam is seen as the final and most important step before entering the legal profession. Passing it allows a person to take their oath and begin practicing law. The exam carries great weight and requires years of preparation, discipline, and determination.
Examinees who fail the bar three times are not allowed to take it again right away. Before they can retake the exam, they must return to law school, complete the required fourth-year review classes, and finish a pre-bar review program at a school approved by the Supreme Court.
September 2025 BAR exams mark the 123rd time this national licensure test has been conducted.
