Drunk Individuals Topple Statues of Popular “Superheroes” in Iloilo
Several individuals who were allegedly drunk caused damage after they carelessly knocked over the popular superheroes at a town park in Pototan, Iloilo.
Recently, Bryan Alamo shared photos of the toppled superheroes in Iloilo, which were reportedly knocked down by the drunk individuals. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions online.
The incident involved standees of popular comic characters such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, which were placed in the town playground as decorations for the community.

Police said the incident happened in the early hours of December 30, around 2 a.m., when the playground was already closed. A utility worker from the local government discovered the toppled figures around 6 a.m. and immediately reported them to authorities.
An investigation followed, including a review of CCTV footage in the area.
The video helped police identify six suspects who were allegedly involved in the act. Two of them are adults aged 19 and 24, while the other four are minors aged between 14 and 16. All are said to be residents of a nearby town.

Police believe the group entered the park out of mischief while under the influence of alcohol.
Local officials explained that the superhero figures were made of high-quality fiberglass. Each one costs about P70,000, including transport and installation. The total estimated damage reached around P210,000, which is a significant loss for the town.

The two adult suspects are now in police custody, while the minors were turned over to social welfare officers. Authorities are coordinating with local officials to decide on possible charges and proper action.
