In the recent episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” Lella Ford received a surprise from her mother, actress-singer Karla Estrada. Prior to their meeting inside the house, Estrada talked about her daughter and became emotional.
According to her, as a single parent who raised her children on her own, allowing Lella to take this step was something she found difficult to accept. Lella, her daughter, has never been this far away or outside her care.
Lella had always been under her protection and within her comfort zone, but at this stage of her life, she has come to terms with the reality that she must let her children go and accept that they will eventually build families of their own.
While fear remains on her part, her emotions now lean more toward acceptance—that one day, her children will leave to carve their own paths in life. She acknowledges that allowing her daughter to join the reality show is a step that will greatly help her grow and become stronger as she moves forward in life.
“Sobrang grabe yung desisyon na ginawa namin na pagpayag kay Carmela at pakinggan yung gusto niya na makapasok dito sa bahay mo. There are times na kailangan mong matutong mag-let go sa mga anak mo,” she said in the video.
Besides Lella, Karla is also the mother of Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla and two more. Karla entered the house as a special gift for Lella, after voted as one of the kindest housemates in their batch.
