To recall, netizens talked about Camille’s performance, which was right after the hosts of the show expressed their messages of sympathy to Kuya Kim Atienza, one of the main hosts of the show.
That was after the death of Kuya Kim’s daughter, Emman Atienza. Right after their messages, the hosts introduced Camille for her hyped dance performance. This became a meme as netizens pointed out that it was out of touch.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Camille Prats spoke about what happened. She explained that she had no intention of hurting anyone or be insentive in that kind of situation.
The actress-host said that she was surprised by the program flow. She had no idea how it would turn out. That was the first live show after what happened to Kuya Kim’s daughter.
Camille also shared that she was not able to check the whole script. “I didn’t bother to check the script where the show was coming from. And then that afternoon, nagulat na lang ako na I was all over the social media…” Camile explained. She knew why it became a trending topic, and people started posting memes about it.
The actress-host said that she apologized to Kuya Kim. “When I got to see Kuya Kim, the first thing that I did was I apologize to him. I’m grateful that he took it lightly because he’s always been like that,” Camille shared.
Previously, Kuya Kim Atienza was asked in an interview about the viral meme of Camille Prats. He said that he was not offended by this. The seasoned TV host even said that he was able to laugh because of that.
