Some bus companies at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange has suspended trips to Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao on December 24, 2025.

Several bus companies operating at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, or PITX, have announced a pause or limited trips on Wednesday, December 24, as many Filipinos prepare for Christmas Eve.

The advisory has caused concern among passengers heading home to spend the holidays with their families, especially those traveling to far provinces.

According to PITX management, some bus companies bound for Bicol will not operate on December 24. These include Cagsawa, Roro, and Raymond. Other companies such as M. Victoria and Belleza may still run trips, but their schedules remain uncertain.

Philtranco and Amihan will also have limited trips for Bicol-bound passengers. Trips going to the Visayas and Mindanao are also affected. Diamond Star and Eastern Goldtrans will not be operating, while Philtranco will only offer limited trips for these routes.

Passengers traveling to Mindoro through OM Trans and Roro may also face fewer options, along with those heading to Batangas via Alps.

On a more positive note, trips going to nearby provinces such as Laguna, Cavite, and Quezon Province will continue as scheduled and are not affected by the holiday changes.

Despite these adjustments, PITX continues to see a steady flow of travelers. From December 19 to December 22, nearly 791,000 passengers passed through the terminal. The highest number was recorded on December 22, with over 203,000 passengers in a single day.

December 21 and 20 also saw heavy foot traffic, each reaching more than 200,000 travelers.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday (December 23, 2025), more than 51,000 passengers had already entered PITX. Officials expect the number of travelers to remain high until Christmas Day.

Looking ahead, PITX estimates that over three million passengers will pass through the terminal from December 19, 2025 to January 5, 2026. Travelers are advised to plan ahead, check schedules early, and be patient during the busy holiday rush.
