Kapuso comedienne Pokwang appeared to have reacted to her brother Carlo Subong’s license revocation.
Pokie was dragged into the issue involving her brother. A road rage incident happened in Antipolo, and Carlo was caught on camera hitting a father, identified as Crispin Villamor, who is a “magkakariton,” and his daughter.
Bicol Saro Partylist Rep. Terry Ridon posted on X, formerly Twitter, the decision of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) regarding the said incident.
Pokwang’s brother received three punishments: lifetime LTO license revocation, criminal case for grave threats and physically assaulting the father and the daughter, and his car was impounded.
The Kapuso comedienne released a video statement apologizing to the father and the daughter, but she stressed that she was not defending her brother. In her statement, she also slammed the negative comments that had been addressed to their family members. She also threw shade at Cong. Ridon for posting about this.
However, the lawmaker defended that what he posted was public information and that it can be available to anyone.
In a recent social media post, Pokie appeared to disagree with the decision released by LTO regarding the license revocation of her brother. The Kapuso comedienne shared a clip on her Instagram Story from news outlet Rappler in which it was explained that the permanent license revocation is a punishment for incidents that cause death.
Pokie wrote a fiery caption to this. “Ah kapag naka patay pala doon lang ma revoke ang lisensya ng for life??? ah ganon pala ano po? ok…” Pokwang stressed.
