Guide on 2026 Philippine Holidays & the Special Events
2026 PHILIPPINE HOLIDAYS – Here are the lists of the regular holidays and the special non-working days in the Philippines this year.
The list of the Philippine holidays in 2025 is long and many Filipinos undeniably enjoyed the extended rest and the time for vacation that those days brought to them. Many of them also paved the way for long weekends. Are you excited for what this another year can bring?

Fret not, the list of 2026 Philippine holidays is also long. There are several regular holidays and special non-working days declared by Malacañang as approved by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Whether it is a regular holiday or a special non-working day, there are holiday pay and privileges for the workers in the government and the private sector. The list of holidays may continue to extend depending on the executive orders.

Before checking on the 2026 Philippine holidays list, it would be great to check on the guidelines set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) with regards to the holiday pay. During regular holidays, the following rules apply:
- If a worker did not work on a regular holiday, the employee is entitled to receive a full salary on the said day.
- If a worker worked for eight (8) hours on a regular holiday, he/she is entitled to a “Double Pay” — the employee will get twice (2) or 200% of his/her basic salary which is computed by adding the basic wage and the cost of living allowance (COLA).
- If a worker worked on overtime on a regular holiday, aside from the 200% pay, the employee is entitled to an additional pay that is equivalent to 30% of the worker’s daily rate for every hour of overtime work.
- If a worker’s rest day or dayoff falls on a regular holiday and he/she reported to duty, he/she is entitled for a Double Pay on top of an equivalent of 30% of the said 200% salary for the day.
- If the worker worked overtime on a rest day which is a regular holiday, the employee is entitled to a total sum of a Double Pay or 200% salary for the day, 30% of the said Double Pay, and another 30% for every hour of overtime.
