Why Claudine Barretto & Milano Sanchez’s Relationship Didn’t Last
CLAUDINE BARRETTTO – Fans were caught off guard after reports surfaced that Claudine Barretto and Milano Sanchez had split, following what sources describe as an intense clash involving a long-time household helper.
Claudine Barretto and Milano Sanchez, who is the brother of veteran broadcast journalist and news anchor Korina Sanchez, are reportedly no longer together just a few months after news of their relationship surfaced.
The reported split surprised many observers, as their romance had only recently been disclosed by seasoned entertainment commentator Cristy Fermin on the vlog “Showbiz Now Na,” which she co-hosts with Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez. At that point, the couple seemed to be doing well, making the sudden breakup all the more unexpected.
Cristy Fermin noted that the relationship faced doubts right from the start. She said on the program, “Nu’ng magsimula po ang kuwento nina Milano Sanchez at Claudine Barretto ay nadaot na agad, ang dami ng kumontra.” Romel Chika shared a similar view, adding, “Ang daming nag-nega at nanghula na hindi magtatagal.”
Fermin later affirmed that the two have indeed parted ways, explaining that complications arose along the way. She revealed that Claudine had moved into Milano’s residence together with her adopted son, Noah, bringing several of their belongings. Their living arrangement was previously visible on social media, where Claudine shared posts featuring meals and family moments, with Milano appearing cheerful in the background.
The situation reportedly changed after an incident involving one of Milano’s long-serving household helpers. Fermin recounted that the helper, who had been with the family for many years and was reportedly assigned by Korina Sanchez, committed a mistake. Claudine was said to have reacted strongly to the incident. As Fermin narrated, “Pinagsisigawan daw ni Claudine talagang galit na galit, sigaw kung sigaw daw ang ginawa (ni Claudine).”
When Milano saw what was happening, he allegedly took the side of the household helper, which only heightened the tension. Fermin recalled Claudine’s reaction, saying, “Kaya ang sabi ni Claudine, ‘ah ganu’n, so, kinakampihan mo ‘yung kasambahay hiwalay na tayo.’” She also mentioned that Claudine reportedly made further remarks that she chose not to disclose on air.
Romel Chika then questioned whether the disagreement truly stemmed from that one mistake. Fermin responded by sharing feedback from those present, pointing to issues of behavior and adjustment, particularly since Claudine was still new to the household.
The controversy also brought back earlier issues, including Claudine’s social media message directed at Milano’s former partner, which stated, “Hi Patti, you really won’t stop? You were just his side chick.”
Despite everything, Romel Chika expressed regret over how the relationship ended, noting that he had seen Claudine genuinely happy when they were still together.
