Catriona Gray Shares Timely Reminder as Holiday Traffic Pushes Patience to the Limit

After Witnessing Massive Traffic, Catriona Gray Urges the Public to Choose Kindness

CATRIONA GRAY – With crowded streets and long commutes testing everyone’s nerves, Catriona Gray offered a timely reminder on how small acts of kindness can go a long way.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray offered a timely message to the public after encountering what she described as one of the worst traffic situations of 2025, encouraging everyone to stay calm, kind, and patient amid the holiday rush.

In a post shared on X on Friday, December 12, Catriona talked about experiencing a particularly trying day—one that could easily test anyone’s patience, especially with Christmas fast approaching. She pointed out that packed areas, heavy road congestion, and long, tiring commutes often contribute to heightened stress and irritability during this season.

“The holiday rush is real — louder crowds, busier streets, and tougher commutes. It’s the kind of day that tests our patience and makes it easy to snap at the people around us,” said Catriona.

Aware of how demanding the holidays can be, the beauty queen reminded everyone to make a conscious effort to be compassionate, especially toward people they encounter daily but may not personally know. She stressed the value of acknowledging and appreciating workers who continue to do their jobs despite challenging traffic conditions.

“[C]hoose kindness, especially toward the strangers we meet A little gratitude for those who serve us, a little patience for our Grab Drivers powering through the traffic just for us to arrive at our holiday celebration safe and sound.

“Also let’s appreciate our Grab delivery drivers bringing our meals despite the gridlock. When we make others feel good, we feel good too. And that kindness spreads,” added the former Miss Universe.

Meanwhile, in an effort to reduce traffic congestion during the peak shopping season, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has banned malls from conducting simultaneous sales. The move is intended to lessen the number of vehicles on major thoroughfares throughout Metro Manila during the busy holiday period.
