Korina Sanchez made this remark about Lito Lapid
Senator Lito Lapid was asked about the remark of veteran journalist Korina Sanchez that she did not notice that he won in the elections.
Lapid has been in the political arena for many years already. However, he continued doing acting projects amid his responsibilities as a public servant. Just recently, he expressed his views on the anomalous flood-control projects involving his fellow senators.
Several senators were accused of receiving kickbacks from the corruption in the projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Lapid admitted that it saddened him that his fellow senators were being dragged into the issue.
The actor-politician also said that the accusations against his fellow lawmakers were not true. This was what he said about the current big issue in the country.
In a recent episode of Bilyonaryo News Channel’s Agenda. Korina Sanchez and her co-hosts, Pinky Webb and Williard Cheng, had a funny banter. Webb said that it was surprising that Sen. Lito Lapid spoke about the alleged involvement of his fellow senators in the flood control issue.
Then, Sanchez surprised her. The veteran journalist said that she did not even notice that Lapid won. “Ay nanalo pala siya? Nanalo? Ah… kasama pala si Sen. Lito… congrats,” the veteran journalist said.
In a recent interview, based on the article Abande News, Lapid was asked to react to what Sanchez said about him. “Baka hindi siya nanonood! Joke lang,” the senator jokingly said, and added, “Ayaw ko mag-comment.”
Meanwhile, Sen. Lito Lapid admitted that he is hurt by the bashing against him, or if people make fun of him. He said that he is also human and he can do nothing about the criticism against him. The actor-politician also admitted that he did not expect that he would be in the political arena.
