Jimmy Bondoc Speaks on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte amid the Calls for Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Resignation
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President is allegedly in favor of letting Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. finish his term amid the calls for his resignation according to her ally, Jimmy Bondoc.
Amid the flood control mess in the Philippines, former House of Representatives Budget Chairman Committee Zaldy Co accused Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of allegedly ordering a P100-billion budget insertion in this year’s national fund. He also accused the President and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez of supposedly receiving a P56-billion kickback.
According to Zaldy Co, former Speaker Martin Romualdez allegedly told him to stay out of the country as supposedly ordered by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative also claimed that Romualdez allegedly threatened to shoot him if he will talk.
Marcos Jr. challenged Zaldy Co to return to the Philippines and face the accusations against him. According to the Palace, the former House member allegedly wants the investigation to stop so he tagged the President.
However, the accusations against Marcos Jr. did not stop there. His own sister, Senator Imee Marcos, accused PBBM of allegedly using illegal drugs when she spoke in front of thousands of members of Iglesia ni Cristo during a recent rally organized by the INC.
Sen. Marcos claimed that their family allegedly knows about the supposed problem with Marcos Jr. but, then, he was still not her responsibility as their father, the late former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was still around. She called on PBBM to go home and undergo treatment.
Sen. Imee Marcos who aligns herself with the Dutertes amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government made the same illegal drug use allegations against First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos. The claims of the presidential Sister triggered the called for Marcos Jr. to resign.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte confirmed that she’s ready to be the president if Marcos Jr. will resign. According to her, she always knew her Constitutional mandate and it is no longer a question of what she will do.
While the claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte caused countless of their family’s supporters to rejoice, it also earned her the “Power Hungry” tag. Recently, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc who was a senatorial candidate endorsed by the Vice President during the May 2025 Midterm Elections defended her.
Based on a post of News5 on social media, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc claimed that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte allegedly did not like the call for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to resign. He stressed that it is contrary to accusations against the Vice President that she is allegedly after power.
“Nung nagkaroon ng ‘BBM Resign’ na call, [VP Sara] didn’t like it. Contrary to popular opinion na parang gutom na gutom daw siya sa power,” the Lawyer said.
Moreover, based on the post, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc also claimed that while Vice Pres. Sara Duterte respects the right of the people who protest against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, she is allegedly in favor of letting him finish his term as president for a reason.
“Sakanya nga parang sige I mean constitutional right niyo mag-rally syempre. Pero for her, sabi niya hayaan na lang natin matapos ‘yan para this should be the… this is her words ‘for them to realize the final Marcos mistake,’” he said.
Previously, the Palace reacted to the claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte that she’s ready to be president if Marcos Jr. resigns.
