Former Goin Bulilit star Trina “Hopia” Legaspi expressed her disappointment after a traffic enforcer confiscated her husband’s driver’s license.
Recently, Trina “Hopia” Legaspi shared the experience on her Facebook account after a traffic enforcer took their license and did not return it. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions online.
According to Trina, the incident happened after a long and tiring drive made worse by heavy traffic. With a holiday approaching, travel was already exhausting, and the situation added more stress to their day.
The celebrity explained that the enforcer asked to see her husband’s license, but after handing it over, it was not returned. They were then told that the license could be claimed at the Calamba City Hall.
Legaspi compared it to what she was used to in Manila, where traffic enforcers are no longer allowed to confiscate licenses and instead issue violation tickets. Being unfamiliar with the local rules made the experience even more frustrating, especially for someone just passing through the area.
Retrieving the license took around four hours, which meant more time lost and additional fatigue. Trina admitted she did not expect her post to gain so much attention, nor did she expect the mix of supportive and negative comments.
The actress clarified that she understood traffic violations are serious and accepted responsibility, but her main concern was simply understanding if license confiscation was truly part of the local process.
Despite her disappointment, Trina expressed gratitude to those who shared advice and concern. She reflected on the experience as a lesson learned and hoped that, in the future, the country could adopt a more consistent and easier system.
