Kapuso star Carla Abellana and her boyfriend are now engaged. Months after opening up that she opened up her heart again to someone, she shared her engagement, and this was announced amid the rumors that she is getting married this December.
To recall, in a previous article, Carla addressed the wedding rumors by saying, “Kung totoo man po iyon o hindi, of course that’s part of my private life.”
She explained that she prefers to keep this part of her life private for now. After experiencing so many personal matters that became public, she is choosing to protect this aspect of her life and keep it away from the spotlight.
Recently, following her engagement announcement, her ex-husband, Tom Rodriguez, was asked about it. He was not able to avoid the question during an interview, and he just gave a brief and simple message: “I wish them well!”
He then went on, “I’m glad that, you know, that everyone is moving on… I wish them well. Everyone deserves happiness, and we all deserve to be happy kaya I’m glad we’ve all finally moved on.”
Meanwhile, as for him, he is now focused on his own married life, and he would like to keep it that way. He is content with the peace that he has now in his life. The past is now a closed chapter in his life.
He shared about his own private family life, “We just live a normal, simple life. Hindi ko naman sila tinatago. Sa akin lang, I just wanna live my life privately pero we go out, we have a community kung saan kami nakatira. Kung ano ‘yung buhay namin noong nasa US kami, we try to do the same here.”
