Oil Prices Set for Mixed Adjustments on Tuesday (December 2, 2025)

DOE Says Oil Prices Set for Mixed Adjustments

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Oil prices are set for mixed price adjustments at the start of December, according to the Energy Department.

On Tuesday (December 2, 2025). Filipino motorists will see mixed changes in fuel prices as oil companies roll out new adjustments. Several fuel companies announced that prices will move in different directions, bringing a slight increase for gasoline and huge rollbacks for both diesel and kerosene.

Most major companies will implement the changes on Tuesday at 6 a.m. Shell, Seaoil, and other large retailers will add P0.20 per liter to gasoline. At the same time, they will lower diesel by P2.90 per liter and kerosene by P3.20 per liter.

Cleanfuel will follow the same adjustments for gasoline and diesel but will apply the changes a little later, at 8:01 a.m. It does not offer kerosene. Other companies such as Petro Gazz and Caltex are expected to follow the same trend, although some firms have yet to release their final price announcements.

The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau explained that the rollbacks are tied to shifting global market conditions.

International traders are monitoring ongoing developments related to the Russia–Ukraine conflict, particularly discussions that could ease restrictions on Russian crude. At the same time, concerns about oversupply have softened global oil prices, eventually pulling local pump prices downward.

These adjustments come after last week’s opposite movement, where gasoline saw a small price cut, while diesel and kerosene went up. For the year, prices remain higher compared to January, with gasoline, diesel, and kerosene all showing net increases based on the DOE’s latest monitoring.

As of this writing, the upcoming rollbacks offer some relief, especially for drivers of diesel-powered vehicles and households that rely on kerosene.
