Malacañang Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro Reacts To Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s “Best Friend” Remarks
CLAIRE CASTRO – The Malacañang press official agree to the claim of Vice President Sara Duterte that they are not best of friends.
As the press officer of Malacañang, Atty. Castro has defended Pres. Bongbong Marcos several times amid the issues against him as well as the claims of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. It is no secret to the public that Marcos Jr. and Duterte went separate ways around two (2) years after since they pushed for “unity” as their election platform.

On the previous claim of the Vice President that the government allegedly does not exert effort to solve the country’s problem about flooding, Malacañang hit back at Vice Pres. Sara Duterte citing her absence, thus, she is not allegedly aware of what the government is doing.
Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro was seemingly referring toe frequent overseas trips of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte then to The Hague, Netherlands and other countries abroad. Her frequent travels abroad came after the custody of her father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, was transferred to the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.

Palace press officer Atty. Claire Castro also recently reacted to the claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte that she is ready to be the president if Pres. Bongbong Marcos resigns from his post. According to the Malacañang press official, it is allegedly unacceptable and she tagged it as a “form of political destabilization”.

Furthermore, according to Castro, the statement of the Vice President allegedly weakens the confidence of the Filipino people on the current administration. She stressed that it is also a question for the public if they are ready for more “Mary Grace Piattos” if Duterte becomes the president.
Recently, Atty. Claire Castro also reacted to the remarks of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte that they are not best friends. Based on a post of News5 on social media, the press officer of Malacañang agreed to the statement of the Vice President as she claimed that they have different mindsets.
“Totoo naman, admitted na hindi kami puwedeng maging best friends. Kasi hindi rin ganun ako mag-isip. Kasi after taking the BAR, after passing the BAR, naging trial lawyer na po ako,” the Palace official said.

Atty. Claire Castro also claimed that she is not corrupt. Based on the post, she stressed that a trial lawyer before, she always looks at the evidence.
“Hindi kami puwedeng parehong mag-isip at hindi rin po ako korap kaya hindi kami puwedeng maging pareho. Iba po kasi ‘yung mindset ko. Always evidence, always evidence… Hindi kasi ako korap, wala akong confidential funds. Kaya magkaiba kami,” Castro said.
Previously, amid the illegal drug use accusations against him, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed she is ready to undergo a drug test with Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
