The Vienna trip of Harry Roque did not push through, and this is the reason why.
Harry Roque remains in the Netherlands after he was offloaded from his Vienna flight amid rumors about his arrest.
The former presidential spokesperson was reported to have been arrested in the Netherlands. However, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said Tuesday that this is not confirmed yet.

In a previous article, Harry Roque denied this and even shared a photo of his ticket to Vienna, Austria. He did not state the reason for this scheduled travel, but it was his way to disprove the rumors.
“There is no truth to the rumors that I have been arrested. I have a scheduled flight to Vienna, Austria today, November 25,” he stated.
Based on the latest, the former Duterte spokesperson shared he has remained in the Netherlands and was disembarked from his flight to Austria. According to him, he was offloaded due to a medical certificate from his doctors stating he was unfit to fly.
In a live Facebook video, it was the Dutch authorities who booked him a flight to Austria earlier. He sought asylum there, but due to the “Dublin rules,” the country that issued his visa is responsible for providing him protection. Because of this rule, the Netherlands advised him that he should seek protection and asylum in Austria.
Roque said he was removed from his flight because the airline saw a medical certificate from his doctors stating he was unfit to fly after his recent surgery. Although another doctor at the Netherlands immigration office cleared him, the airline trusted the certificate from the doctors who operated on him.
When the captain asked if he really wanted to fly, Roque admitted he didn’t because his surgeons advised against it. In the end, the airline offloaded him from the plane.
“Hindi po ako natuloy sa flight sa Vienna, dinisembark po ako,” he said.
