President Bongbong Marcos pushes for the arrest of Zaldy Co and others regarding the flood control mess.
Arrest warrants have been issued for those included in the flood control anomalies, and President Bongbong Marcos has this to say.
Warrants of arrest have been issued against former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co and other officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways, and directors of Sunwest Corp. The warrants were issued regarding the flood control mess, and this was announced by President Bongbong Marcos.

He urged to hasten the arrest and not delay it, as the wheels of justice are now already turning. All three Sandiganbayan divisions handling the cases—the Fifth, Seventh, and Sixth Divisions—issued warrants of arrest and hold departure orders.
Aside from Co, these are the others facing warrants of arrest:
- Gerald Pacanan, DPWH Regional Director
- Gene Ryan Altea, DPWH Assistant Regional Director
- Ruben D.S. Santos, DPWH Assistant Regional Director
- Dominic Serrano, DPWH Chief, Construction Division; Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Chairperson
- Juliet Calvo, DPWH Chief, Maintenance Division
- Dennis Abagon, DPWH OIC-Chief, Quality Assurance and Hydrology Division;
- Regular Member, BAC
- Montrexis Tamayo, DPWH OIC-Chief, Planning and Design Division
- Lerma Cayco, DPWH Accountant IV
- Felisardo Casuno, DPWH Project Engineer 3
- Timojen Sacar, DPWH Material Engineer
- Aderman Alcazar, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sunwest Construction
- Cesar Buenavntura, Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors, Sunwest Construction
- Consuelo Aldon, Member of the Board of Directors, Sunwest Construction
- Engr. Noel Yap Cao, Member of the Board of Directors, Sunwest Construction
- Anthony Ngo, Member of the Board of Directors, Sunwest Construction
In a recorded video message posted on his social media accounts, President Marcos Jr. assured that the arrest warrants will be immediately implemented and ensure that the probe will end under his watch.
“Ako ang nagsimula ng itong lahat, ako ang magtatapos. Asahan po ninyo na wala pang tigil itong aming ginagawa,” he said. To recall, during his State of the Nation Address in July, he issued the orders to investigate the flood relief programs, and right after, he flagged 15 construction firms that bagged billions of government flood control projects.
