Chocolate Lover Inc. to Close After 36 Years of Service
Chocolate Lover Inc., a popular baking supply store in P. Tuazon, Cubao, will be closing its doors after more than 36 years of serving customers.
The owner Anna Carmona Lim made the emotional announcement through a video message she posted online, where she shared the news that the business will officially stop operations on December 27, 2025.
Until the final day, the store will continue selling products and attending to customers as usual. For more than three decades, Chocolate Lover Inc. became a favorite destination for hobby bakers, small entrepreneurs, and even culinary students.
Many people remember the store for its castle-like building and wide selection of ingredients such as chocolates, nuts, buttercream, and other baking essentials. Since opening in 1989, it has supported countless home bakers and small businesses, becoming part of many family celebrations and sweet memories.
Lim shared that the decision to close was not easy. She explained that her children no longer want to continue the business, and their family is already comfortable living abroad. As she grows older, she said she wants to spend more time with her grandchildren and take a break from the daily demands of running the store.
Anne admitted that she has spent years thinking about this decision, but felt that it was time to let go.
The company owner also mentioned that the building has been up for sale for some time but has yet to find a buyer. While waiting, the family plans to explore the option of renting out the property.
