Bongbong Marcos Junks Sister Imee’s Challenge to Take Hair Follicle Drug Test

Palace Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos Following Sen. Imee Marcos’ Accusations

BONGBONG MARCOS – The Palace announced that the President is not taking the challenge of his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, to undergo a hair follicle drug test.

At the recent rally organized by the members of Iglesia ni Cristo, Sen. Imee Marcos accused PBBM of allegedly using illegal substance which the Palace immediately dismissed. According to the Senator, it has allegedly long been a problem with her brother even since he was young and their father, the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was still around.

The Presidential Sister claimed that Marcos Jr. was still not her responsibility then when their patriarch was still alive. At the rally of the INC, she expressed a call for her brother to go home and undergo treatment.

Aside from accusing Pres. Bongbong Marcos of allegely using illegal drugs, Sen. Imee Marcos also made the same allegation against First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos. Both of the First Couple are mum on the accusations.

Meanwhile, recently, the Palace spoke on the side of Pres. Bongbong Marcos over the challenge of Sen. Imee Marcos to undergo a hair follicle drug test to dispel the allegations of illegal drug use. Based on a report on Inquirer, Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro claimed that the accusations were already disproved long ago.

Based on the report, Atty. Claire Castro was asked by a member of the media if now is the right time for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to take a hair follicle drug test following the challenge of Sen. Imee Marcos. The Palace official stressed that they will not be swayed by the “loud voices”.

“Again and again, we will keep repeating it — we will not be swayed by what the loud voices are saying. This has long been resolved,” the Palace official said.

Atty. Claire Castro also stressed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is clean. Based on the report, the suggestions come from alleged destabilizers who have nothing to do but place mandates on the Chief Executive even when these are no longer part of his job.

“I will repeat it, over and over—the president is clean, and the president will not give in to any kind of provocation,” the Palace official.

Aside from the challenge to undergo a drug test, Malacañang also claimed that Marcos Jr. will not resign even after the accusations of Sen. Imee Marcos.
