Senator Imee Marcos accused other famous personalities of doing this illegal thing apart from her brother, President Bongbong Marcos.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and their children are allegedly using drugs. Senator Imee Marcos made the allegations during the rally of the Iglesia Ni Cristo at the Quirino Grandstand. Her allegations shocked many people.
“Hinihingi ko na tayo ay umuwi na. Mamahinga. Alang-alang sa iyong kalusugan. Kaya kong mabigo at mawala sa ’yo ang posisyon pero hindi ko kayang mawala ka sa amin. Ayusin mo ang sarili mo. Magpagamot. Alisin ang droga sa iyong sistema,” she said calling out her brother.
However, through Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro, PBBM rejected the allegations. The president also expressed that the claims of Senator Imee that he uses illicit drugs are baseless and should not be taken seriously.
Meanwhile, apart from his brother and other family members, Senator Imee’s list also included other public figures, such as billionaires, businessmen, and an actress. Iñigo Zobel, Antonio “Tonyboy” Floirendo Jr., Antonio Lagdameo, Bong Daza, Edvee Cruz, and Maricel Soriano were the names she mentioned, who allegedly use illicit drugs.
Iñigo is part of the Zobel de Ayala clan, one of the wealthiest clans in the country, while Tonyboy Floirendo is the son of “Banana King” Antonio Floirendo Sr. The Floirendo clan owns massive banana plantations and the Pearl Farm Beach Resort in Samal Island. Tonyboy is the partner of Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran.
Anton Lagdameo, on the other hand, is currently the Special Assistant to the President and formerly the congressman of the Second District of Davao del Norte. The late Bong Daza was a restaurateur and businessman, and Edvee Cruz is the child of the late diplomat and press secretary Jose Vicente “JV” Cruz.
