Cavite 4th District Representative Kiko Barzaga claimed that President Bongbong Marcos accused Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) of paying members to join the November 30 anti-corruption rally.

To recall, on September 21, a nationwide anti-corruption rally was held. People gathered in various areas to air their sentiments regarding the corruption issue in the country, especially when it comes to the anomalous flood control projects.

Celebrities and famous personalities joined the rally. They shouted their grievances and called out to certain people and groups.

However, that rally became a drastic event also because violence occurred at certain venues, as rallyists had heated encounters with the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

That anti-corruption rally will have another one, and it is set to happen on November 30. Based on the report from Inquirer, the PNP has already started preparing for this rally because they have learned their lessons from the Sept. 21 rally.

PNP said that they will deploy more personnel on the ground. Authorities intended to maintain a visible presence in key areas of protest.

In line with the Nov. 30 rally, Cong. Kiko Barzaga shared a post on his Facebook page. “Marcos Administration accuses Iglesia ni Cristo of paying members PHP 3,000 to attend November protests against corruption,” this was stated in the art card that Barzaga shared.
