Strong winds rip off the roof of a home at Lumina Homes in Vista Alegre, Bacolod City during Typhoon Tino.
Recently, Jay Jay Antonilla, a Facebook user, shared a video of a terrifying experience as strong winds from Typhoon Tino tore off the roof of one of the houses in the subdivision. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Antonilla captured the frightening moment when powerful gusts of wind battered the area.
In the video, the roof of a house can be seen shaking violently while an antenna sways as if about to be blown away. Within moments, the roof was completely lifted off and scattered by the wind, leaving the structure exposed to the storm.
Many also reminded residents to stay indoors and stay safe while the typhoon continued to bring strong winds and heavy rain over Bacolod and nearby provinces.
According to residents, the incident happened in Block 18, Lot 2 of Lumina Homes, where several other houses also reported minor damage due to the storm’s intensity. Some people were seen securing their belongings and reinforcing their roofs to prevent further damage as the weather worsened.
Authorities have urged everyone in affected areas to remain alert and avoid going outside during the storm. Power outages and fallen debris were also reported in some parts of Bacolod City as Typhoon Tino continued to move across the Visayas.
Despite the fear and destruction, many residents expressed hope, reminding one another to take care, stay indoors, and continue praying for safety until the typhoon fully passes.
