PAGASA Releases Latest Update on Typhoon Tino
PAGASA UPDATE – The state weather agency reported that signal no. 4 was raised in parts of Mindanao as Typhoon Tino nears landfall.
Typhoon Tino, internationally known as “Kalmaegi,” continues to intensify as it moves westward toward the Philippines, prompting the weather bureau to raise Signal No. 4 in parts of Mindanao.
Tino maintained its strength on Monday afternoon (November 3, 2025), with heavy rains and strong winds expected to hit several areas overnight.

According to PAGASA, the typhoon was last seen about 235 kilometers east-southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching 150 kph.
It is moving westward at 25 kph and is forecast to make landfall over the southern portion of Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, or Dinagat Islands between Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
After landfall, Tino is expected to cross the Visayas region and northern Palawan before moving out toward the West Philippine Sea by Wednesday afternoon. The storm is forecast to remain a typhoon until it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday (November 6, 2025).

Signal No. 4 is currently raised over Dinagat Islands and Siargao including Bucas Grande Islands, where winds stronger than 118 kph are expected within 12 hours. Signal No. 3 covers parts of Eastern Visayas, including Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Cebu, and Bohol.
Several areas in Northern Mindanao, Western Visayas, and parts of Luzon are also under Signal Nos. 2 and 1.
Residents in affected areas are advised to prepare for power interruptions, heavy rainfall, and possible flooding or landslides. Fisherfolk and small boats are strongly discouraged from venturing out into the sea due to rough waters.

As Typhoon Tino moves closer, local governments are now on high alert, ensuring evacuation centers are ready, and emergency teams are on standby to respond to any situation.
