Robi Domingo had a story about a concert experience she had with other Kapamilya stars
Kapamilya host Robi Domingo recalled a memorable experience that he and other Kapamilya stars experienced when they watched the concert of the British rock band Coldplay in the UK earlier this year.
Robi has been in the industry for many years already. Over the years, he has done a lot of projects already and bonded with other Kapamilya stars who became his friends and family in the entertainment industry.
One of the recent guests that he had was on Jodi Sta Maria’s show, Let’s Drink to That, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment. In the vlog, the TV host admitted that for him, during their free time after the ASAP in the UK show, he could say that it was “our years’ worth of experience in stress”.
The Pinoy Big Brother host watched Coldplay with Vice Ganda, Piolo Pascual, Darren Espanto, Kyle Echarri, Erik Santos, Hadiyah Santos, AC Bonifacio, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, and ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak.
“Right after the successful ASAP in the UK, we had four days off. Binigyan kami ng apat na araw pero yung apat na araw na yun, parang four years worth of experience in stress for me. Just thinking about it, nangangatog na naman ako,” Robi shared.
They missed a couple of songs as they were late for the concert. Robi shared that they were running two kilometers because their doors were closed off. They thought that the concert would start at 8 p.m., and they arrived at 8:10.
The TV host shared that Vice was saying that the pre-concert was good, and it seemed that they were playing the Coldplay songs. Robi was the one handling their tickets, and he felt something was off. When they were at the concert grounds, he distributed QR codes to his companions.
“Nung umaga palang, hindi ko maaccess yung site so medyo kabadong kabado ako doon. I asked the help of my wife, who was in the Philippines… She sent me screenshots of the tickets — the QR codes. I got 11 QR codes,” Robi recalled.
Despite having the QR Codes, they were not allowed to enter the venue as one of the security personnel, who was a British woman, restricted them as they didn’t have the barcode of the tickets themselves.
“Imagine, yung hiya ko nun na pinalabas si Vice Ganda, si CLK, si Papa P–– all of these superstars na nakikita mo sa yung top 10 ng station ID,” the TV host shared.
Because of the delay, they missed five or six songs before they were allowed to enter. For the TV host, that was a learning experience.
“That’s a learning for everyone who’s gonna be watching abroad– put it in a certain wallet or sa phone kasi mas kailangan nila yung QR code and then also yung barcode,” Robi stressed.
However, Robi Domingo stressed that they could have received help and not been shouted at. “Assist lang kung paano gawin ito kasi hindi naman kami mag scascam eh. Pero pumasok naman kami,” the TV host said.
