Ex-Sen. Antonio Trillanes Sues Former Pres. Duterte, Sen. Bong Go for Plunder, Graft
ANTONIO TRILLANES – The former Senator filed charges against former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Senator Bong Go over infrastructure projects.
Recently, the name of Sen. Bong Go was once again dragged in the flood control issue in the Philippines. It was after Ombudsman Boying Remulla aired his belief that the Discayas are allegedly possibly protecting Go.

Controversial contractors Pacifico and Cezarah Discaya previously confirmed that they had a joint venture with the CLTG Builders, a construction company owned by Go’s father. The statement was made during a Senate flood probe.
After the Discayas withdrew their cooperation with the ICI, the Ombudsman claimed that the contractors are allegedly doing “selective” revelations. Through a press conference, Sen. Bong Go denied knowing the Discayas and asserted his support on the flood control probe. According to him, he is willing to be a complainant of the case if his family member did something wrong.

Recently, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes arrived at the Office of the Ombudsman and filed charges against Sen. Bong Go, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, as well as the Senator’s father, Deciderio Lim Go, and his brother, Alfredo Armero Go.

Based on a report on GMA News, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes claimed that Sen. Bong Go’s father and brother allegedly secured billions worth of government contracts from 2008 when former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was still Davao City mayor. He also stressed the joint venture of the CLTG Builders with the St. Gerrard Construction, a construction firm owned by the Discayas.
“Ang main plunderer rito ay si Bong Go kasi siya ang central figure dun sa tatay at kapatid, tapos ‘yung kanyang relationship with Duterte enabled this. Ang pumipirma, ang naga-appprove ay itong si Duterte pero nasa likod niya itong si Bong Go,” Trillanes said.

Based on the report, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes claimed that the plunder and graft charges is about the P7-billion worth of infrastructure projects allegedly awarded by former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Bong Go to the Senator’s father and brother. According to him, it is a crime against the plunder law.
“Alam naman natin na magkadugtong ang bituka ni Bong Go at Duterte kaya hindi niya pwedeng ipagkaila na hindi naimpluwensyahan ito… Ang nakalagay sa ating batas, up to 4th degree of consanguinity and affinity, pero ito first first degree ito tatay ito at kapatid,” the former Senator said.
Currently, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte remains detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands. Sen. Bong Go is one of the senators who called for the house arrest of former Pres. Duterte.
