The Real Reason Vice Ganda Never Goes Broke

Vice Ganda’s Secret to Building Wealth Will Change How You See Money

VICE GANDA – Despite his fame and wealth, Vice Ganda’s approach to money proves that humility and smart budgeting never go out of style.

Comedian and “It’s Showtime” mainstay Vice Ganda recently shared insights into his personal approach to money management, revealing that being financially disciplined has always been second nature to him. Despite achieving tremendous success and wealth, Vice has remained practical and mindful with his finances, guided by a lifelong principle — to spend wisely and always set aside money for the future.

For the “Unkabogable Superstar,” saving isn’t just a piece of advice but a habit deeply ingrained in his values. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Vice shared, “Hindi talaga ako magastos kaya ako nakakaipon. ‘Yung pamilya ko, hindi rin magastos.” He explained that his strong sense of discipline with money began at an early age, shaped by the financial lessons he learned growing up.

“Ever since kasi ‘yun na ang discipline sa amin. ‘Yung allowance namin, ‘yun na ‘yung allowance namin for the entire month. Kailangang ma-budget namin ‘yung kanya-kanya naming allowance,” he said, emphasizing how financial responsibility was a standard in their household.

Vice also revealed that his drive to save comes from a fear of financial struggle. “So nung kumikita na ako, sobrang tipid ko kaya ako nakaipon. Takot na takot kasi akong maghirap. So kung gumastos man ako ngayon, hindi siya malaking epekto sa savings ko,” he said, proving that his success is rooted in a mindset of security and prudence.

Although he allows himself occasional luxuries, the comedian ensures that his expenses never disrupt his savings. He humorously recounted, “Nag-Singapore ako… last minute, bili ako nang bili. Sabi nila, ‘Grabe. Sa isang araw, magkano ‘yung nagastos mo.’ Sabi ko, napagod naman ako ng isang linggo.”

Now that he earns “more than enough,” Vice clarified that his spending comes from gratitude, not extravagance. “Ang suwerte ko. I am earning more than enough. Kaya kong gumastos,” he said.

Vice’s story serves as a reminder to his fans and peers that financial success doesn’t just depend on how much one earns, but on how wisely one chooses to save and manage what they have.
