This post of former senator Bong Revilla has been circulating online; however, this is the real story behind the viral post.

One of the political figures mentioned to be involved in the anomalous flood control was former senator Bong Revilla. This allegation was raised by former DPWH Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo during today’s Senate blue ribbon committee hearing.

In a statement, Revilla said that these allegations are absolutely untrue. In a statement released by Divina Law, he is reportedly “fully prepared to cooperate with any official inquiry or legal process to shed light on the truth,” as it was never his character to shy away or hide from the assertions.

Recently, people have been talking online about a photo of the former senator using a walker to provide him support and balance while walking. A lot of them easily made assumptions because of the recent controversy in which he is involved.

The screenshots were from a video of him when he attended the PFP-Lakas alliance signing ceremony. This was his first appearance after he was hospitalized due to an Achilles tendon injury last year.

He was using a walker at the event held at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City. At that time, he was still recovering after his Achilles tendon rupture.
