Aljur Abrenica went viral for his song covers
Actor Aljur Abrenica reacted to the comments of netizens to his viral cover of the song Sugar.
Aljur rose to fame after becoming the Ultimate Hunk in the fourth season of the Kapuso talent search StarStruck in 2007. From that, he was given acting stints with his former onscreen partner Kris Bernal.
In 2017, Aljur decided to move to ABS-CBN and signed an exclusive contract. He was given the opportunity to have his first leading role in the Kapamilya network through the series Asintado. He has also done several movies throughout his acting career.
Aside from acting, Aljur Abrenica also had some stints in music. He released his self-titled album in 2010 under Musiko Records and Sony Music. Four years after that, he released his second album, Mahal Pa Rin Kita, under MCA Music.
Just recently, Aljur had a song cover that went viral. He sang the Maroon 5 song Sugar. This received amused comments from netizens. Even former Commission on Elections commissioner Rowena Guanzon had a funny comment on this.
In a recent media conference, based on the video released by ABS-CBN News, Aljir was asked about his viral song covers.
He even indulged in giving a “sample” to the press people as he sang She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5. The actor said that he did nto know what to say about the netizens’ comment on his song covers.
Aljur also said that this is the time when he can still sing, and those who are out of tune can still sing if they want to. “Kahit sino, pwede,” he said. He wanted his children to see his videos after several years.
“Natatawa ako sa mga comment ng mga tao,” Aljur said while smiling. He also admitted that he really loves music, and this is very personal for him. The actor believed that there was nothing wrong with singing your heart out. Aljur Abrenica also believed that this is God’s gift.
