Xian Lim has a new directorial project
Kapuso actor-director Xian Lim wanted to share his acting experiences to showbiz newbies.
Xian has been in the industry for almost two decades already. Over the years, he has done a lot of TV and movie projects, especially during the height of his loveteam partnership with Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu, who also became his girlfriend for many years.
Aside from acting, Xian also ventured into hosting, and eventually into directing. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the actor-director talked about his upcoming project.
Xian Lim is the director of Project Loki, which is based on a popular Wattpad webtoon detective series. This will be shown on Viva One and Cignal Play and features young stars Marco Gallo, Jayda Avanzado, and Dylan Menor.
The actor-director said that he wanted to share his experience in showbiz to the movie cast. “I wanna be able to impart with them kung ano yung mga pinagdaanan ko rin in the acting process,” he said.
He want to impart his experiences he encountered in the entertainment industry, including the times when he stumbled in his acting journey.
Xian admitted that there had been many times when he was scolded on set. Sometimes, he was not able to perform, or he was removed from a project.
“It’s my job here to guide them para hindi sila maligaw,” the actor-director said. As a director, Xian said that he also told the cast that their sensibiliites are different, and they would encounter different directors.
Xian also said that he promised the cast to he will take care of their characters, and that he would make sure that every character will shine in this project.
The Kapuso star also shared that the cast are very excited, eager, and they were all passionate.
