Vice Ganda Says “Call Me Mother” Is The First Asian Film To Shoot In Disneyland

Vice Ganda proudly shared this about “Call Me Mother.”

ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda proudly shared that the film “Call Me Mother” is the first Asian film to be shot in Disneyland.

“Call Me Mother” is one of the official entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025, starring Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre. This film also serves as their reunion project.

If there’s one thing Vice is proud of, is that this is the first film in Asia to be shot in Disneyland. They were also able to have the famous Fab 5 all together in one scene. According to the Unkabogable Star, it is difficult to have this kind of opportunity, but they were able to pull it off with the big help of Perci Intalan, who has connections in Disneyland as he used to work there.

“Noong kinukuha namin iyon, naiyak talaga ako. May oras talaga na we have to shoot that in 15 minutes and nagawa talaga namin,” she shared.

For shooting, they were granted exclusive access to specific areas of the park, which included the iconic Disneyland castle. Vice shared, “Ipinasara din (yung Disneyland). Nandoon kami, binigyan kami ng time, exclusively for us then sinabay kami na nandoon yung tao tapos binigyan kami ulit ng oras para sa amin lang tapos hanggang sa nagsara siya, nandodoon kami.”

They take pride in this historic accomplishment – the first Asian film and the third film globally allowed to be shot inside Disneyland.

The movie’s official trailer has already earned millions of views across various social media platforms. This is helmed by award-winning filmmaker Jun Robles Lana.

The film also stars “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab” housemates Klarisse De Guzman, Mika Salamanca, Brent Manalo, Esnyr Ranollo, River Joseph, and Shuvee Etrata, as well as Chanda Romero, Carmi Martin, Ces Quesada, John “Sweet” Lapus, MC Muah, Iyah Mina, Jennifer Sevilla, Robert Ortega, Tanya Gomez, and Divine Tetay.
