Duterte’s Former Spokesman Harry Roque Reiterates for Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Resignation
HARRY ROQUE – The Lawyer urged President Bongbong Marcos to step down from his position and give it to a person with the right mindset.
There are calls for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to resign amid the flood control issue in the Philippines. Cavite 4th District Congressman Kiko Barzaga recently led the protesters in calling for Marcos Jr.’s resignation during a rally held outside the Forbes Park Village in Makati City.
Barzaga’s recent moves against Marcos Jr. hooked different reactions from the Filipino people. The 27-year-old solon also previously showed an alleged impeachment complaint against the President. While some Filipinos criticized him, there are also those who lauded him.
Former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s former spokesman, Harry Roque, previously expressed his salute to Cong. Kiko Barzaga for speaking against Marcos Jr. According to him, the young lawmaker is allegedly a proof that the Filipinos remain hopeful on the youth to which the future depends on.
Roque also called on Marcos Jr. to resign from the position. Duterte’s former Spox who is faced with an arrest warrant issued by the Philippine court remains in The Netherlands for several months now. He is seeking for asylum in the foreign country.
Harry Roque hid after the House of Representatives ordered his arrest for contempt over his alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. He only appeared in March when Duterte’s custody was transferred to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
According to Roque, he cannot forgive Pres. Bongbong Marcos for causing the separation between him and his family. He previously claimed that he will only return to the Philippines after the term of Marcos Jr.
Recently, Harry Roque reiterated his call for Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ resignation. Based on a post on social media, Duterte’s former Spokesman told the President not to cling to power like a gecko.
“Marcos Jr., huwag ka ng kumapit sa kapangyarihan na parang tuko. Sinusuka ka na ng taumbayan,” he stated.
Furthermore, Harry Roque also told Pres. Bongbong Marcos in another post to just give the position to a person who is in the right mindset. His statement earned different reactions from the netizens online.
“Ibigay mo na, Marcos Jr., ang puwesto sa tamang pag-iisip,” Duterte’s former Spokesman said.
Previously, Roque called for “People Power” to oust Marcos Jr.
