Art Atayde, Cong. Arjo Atayde’s Father, Named in ICI Request
Arjo Atayde’s father Art Atayde is one of those included in the request of the ICI for issuance of immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO).
The flood control issue in the Philippines left many Filipinos calling for accountability. The allegations that linked several senators and congressmen to the supposed multi-billion corruption sparked disappointment and anger among many people.

During a Senate flood probe, controversial contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya presented a joint affidavit wherein they stated their accusations against several congressmen who allegedly receive kickback from the flood control projects awarded to their construction firms.
According to the Discayas, they allegedly had no choice but to ride on the supposed “system”. They claimed that only a small amount allegedly remains as profits to them because of the supposed kickbacks to some officials of the government and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Quezon City Congressman Arjo Atayde was one of the congressmen accused by the Discayas of allegedly receiving kickback from the flood control projects. Undeniably, it hooked the attention of many people as he’s one of the most popular congressmen in the Philippines as he’s an actor before he joined politics.

Cong. Arjo Atayde denied the accusation of the Discayas. His wife, Kapuso star Maine Mendoza, also defended him. However, several photos of Atayde with the controversial contractors circulated online.
