Male Netizen Urges “Mangkukulam” & “Mambabarang” to Act Against Corruption
A male netizen is calling the attention of “Mangkukulam” (Witch) and “Mambabarang” (Sorcerer) to act against corrupt politicians.
In the age of social media and modern technology, old Filipino beliefs about mystical beings like mangkukulam and mambabarang continue to live on. These figures, often described as quiet and mysterious people with strange powers, are said to bring sickness or misfortune through spells, whispers, or insects.
While they are usually part of old stories passed through generations, one netizen recently gave these characters a unique twist.

Recently, Arnex, a Facebook user, caught the attention of many after calling on all mangkukulam and mambabarang in the country to unite, not for revenge or magic, but against corrupt officials. The post elicited comments online.
In an eye-opener video, he appealed to these so-called “mystics” to use their powers against the greedy and dishonest leaders who continue to take advantage of the people.
Arnex explained that his video was meant to express the anger and disappointment of many hardworking Filipinos. As a taxpayer and citizen, he said it’s painful to witness the blatant misuse of public funds while countless Filipinos suffer in times of disaster and poverty.
He clarified that the video was not about promoting superstition, but about waking people up, a call for unity and awareness. Arnex reminded everyone that real power lies not in magic, but in the collective voice of the Filipino people.
The male netizen urged everyone to stay hopeful, keep speaking up, and continue fighting for justice and accountability.
“Pero on a serious note, Ipagdasal natin ang ating bayan.
Patuloy na lumaban, maki-isa at kalampagin ang gobyerno hangga’t may managot at maparusahan. Kailangan natin ng hustisya. We deserve better. God bless the Philippines,” Arnex said.
