Duterte’s Former Spokesman Harry Roque Praises Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga
HARRY ROQUE – Duterte’s former Spokesman expressed his salute to Cavite 4th District Congressman Kiko Barzaga.
Amid the flood control issue in the Philippines which supposedly involves a multi-billion corruption, there are calls for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to step down from the presidency. A young member of the House of Representatives, Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga, even led an anti-Marcos protest that called for the resignation of the President. The rally was held outside the Forbes Park Village in Makati City.
Aside from leading an anti-Marcos protest, Cong. Kiko Barzaga also previously claimed that he will file an impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The young House solon is accusing the President of alleged betrayal of public trust amid the flood control issue in the country.
Recently, Harry Roque who also calls for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos expressed praises for Cong. Kiko Barzaga. Through a post on social media, the former spokesman of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he has a huge admiration for the young lawmaker for his bravery and his alleged deep understanding of the country’s problem.
Roque claimed that Barzaga is allegedly a proof that the Filipinos are not losing hope saying the future depends on the brave, courageous, and patriotic youth who love the country. He stressed that the Cavite Congressman is one of those who allegedly possess the characters he mentioned.
“Matindi po talaga ang paghanga ko kay Cong. Meow Meow. Siya po talaga ay patunay na hindi tayo nawawalan ng pag-asa sa ating kabataan na ang ating kinabukasan nakasalalay pa rin sa mga matapang, magiting, patriyotikong nagmamahal sa Inang Bayan, ng mga kabataan, na gaya ni Cong. Meow Meow,” Duterte’s former Spokesman said.
Based on the post, Harry Roque claimed that he does not personally know Cong. Kiko Barzaga or also known as “Cong. Meow Meow”. According to him, he and his mother were both part of the Congress before.
“Hindi ko po siya personal na kakilala. Ang ina niya ang aking nakasama sa Kongreso… Talagang saludo po ako sa kanya, sa kanyang katapangan at sa kanyang matinding pagkakaintindi sa ugat ng problema sa Pilipinas at ‘yan nga po ay korapsyon,” Roque said.
Harry Roque once again slammed Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on the post, Roque claimed that the root of the problem in the Philippines is allegedly corruption because Pres. Bongbong Marcos is supposedly corrupt.
“Dahil ang namumuno sa ating bayan ay korap, si Marcos Jr., dahilan kung bakit lahat ng mga opisyales sa ilalim niya kasama na si House Speaker at si Zaldy Co ay korap,” he said.
Previously, another young politician, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, reacted to him being compared with Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga.
