Former Presidential Spox Harry Roque Calls on Filipinos for “People Power”
HARRY ROQUE – The former presidential Spokesman called for People Power amid the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption.
Recently, a rally was held outside the Forbes Park Village in Makati City. The protesters led by Cavite 4th District Congressman Kiko Barzaga called for the resignation of President Bongbong Marcos. He also claimed that they can protest anytime as the corrupt officials are allegedly stealing anytime.
Amid the protest actions outside Forbes Park Village in Makati City, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s former spokesman, Harry Roque, called for “People Power”. Through his social media account, he called for the Filipinos to join the protest.
Roque stressed that it is allegedly time to drive the corrupt officials in Malacañang, the Senate, the Congress, and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) out from the government. According to him, the Filipino people are already mad.
“Papalayasin na po natin lahat ng korap sa DPWH, sa Malacañang, sa Kongreso, sa Senado. Galit na po ang taumbayan at pinararamdam na ngayon ang galit ng taumbayan,” Roque said.
Harry Roque called on all the Filipinos to join the protest and fight for the future. According to him, nothing will happen to the Philippines if the supposed rotten system of corruption continues. He also took swipe at Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the other government officials.
“Lahat po ng mga Pilipino, lumabas na po kayo. Pinaglalaban na po natin ang ating kinabukasan. Wala na pong mangyayari sa Pilipinas kung patuloy ang sistema ng korapsyon sa pamumuno ni Marcos Jr., ni Tambaloslos, at ng mga congressman at senatong na mga walang silbi kung ‘di magnakaw na magnakaw,” he said.
Roque urged the Filipinos to be mad saying there won’t be changes in the society if the people won’t be angry. Based on the post, he believes that “People Power” is the solutio to the corruption problems in the country. He expressed his gratitude to the Filipinos who joined the protest.
“Kinakailangan po nandun na tayo sa lansangan at ipakita natin na sama-sama nating lakas at diskurso disgusto sa mga kurakot sa lipunan. Kinakailangang isuka na po ‘yang sistema ng korapsyon dahil wala pong mangyayari sa ating mga kababayan kung lahat ng pondo ng bayan nilalamon ng mga buwaya,” Duterte’s former Spox said.
Based on the post, Harry Roque also expressed that October 12 should not end without the “bangag” being driven out from Malacañang. He stressed that the Palace belongs to the Filipino people.
Previously, Harry Roque claimed that he cannot forgive Marcos Jr. for causing the physical separation between him and his family. According to Duterte’s former Spox, he will only return to the country after the presidential term of Marcos Jr. ends.
