The character of Andrea Brillantes has died in the series.
ABS-CBN actress Andrea Brillantes leaves “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” and here are some of her fondest memories in the series.
In “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” Andrea Brillantes took on her most daring role yet, and during her first time shooting for the series, she admitted to feeling nervous, but also excited at the same time. The first time she joined the series, she shared a passionate scene with Jake Cuenca, and it went viral.
Months after she joined, her character dies, which marks the end of her story. Fatima, her character, was killed during an operation conducted by the police to capture Tanggol. Her father, Paeng (Michael de Mesa), was also killed by Rigor, the character of John Estrada. Her character was killed in the October 7 episode.
The deaths of the two characters, in a way, opened up an opportunity for Tanggol and his men to escape. Among her fondest memories are the lessons she learned from her character.
Speaking about her experience being a part of the top-rated series, she expressed that she could relate to her character’s sentiments, especially when it comes to what she can do for her family.
Fatima, while playing this character, also reminded her to always do what is right and taught her the significance of speaking up and standing for the truth.
The fight for the truth, however, cost Fatima’s life. But despite the death, she remained proud as it happened with dignity. She died fighting for the ones she loved while protecting them.
For Coco Martin, the lead actor and director of the series, she said, “Thank you sa kanya, and sana makatrabaho ko pa siya ulit. It was an honor at madami akong natutunan sa kanya, ang dami kong na-observe. It was definitely an experience, itong stay ko here.”
Meanwhile, there have been new additions in Batang Quiapo. Among the new stars of the hit series are former Kapuso star Aljur Abrenica, Baron Geisler, Maris Racal, Perla Bautista, Roi Vinzon, Richard Quan, Aleck Bovick, and Via Antonio.
