PAGASA Says LPA and Northeasterly Wind Flow to Affect PH Weather
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that northeasterly wind flow will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (October 7, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeasterly wind flow and the LPA outside PAR will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA Weather Specialist Obet Badrina reported that northeasterly wind flow is expected to affect the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon. It will bring cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers to Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and Aurora.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring similar weather conditions over Mindanao, Visayas, and Palawan.
Typhoon Halong outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility spotted 1,875 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon is moving west northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour.
“So ito po isang Typhoon category na. At sa ngayon nga, lalong lumilit yung posibilidad na ito’y pumasok ng Philippine Area of Responsibility. Hindi natin ito inaasa makakaapekto sa ating bansa,” Badrina said.

Halong packs maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour with gustiness of up to 160 kph. It has a high chance to become a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
“Mas malaki po ang posibilidad na ito’y kikilos pahilaga, susunodan po nito yung naging direksyon ng Bagyong Halong at maaaring pang lumapit ito sa Bagyong Halong ay mag-dissipate ito o malusaw,” he added.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The weather agency advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
