This is what President Bongbong Marcos said before the Aeta communities.
President Bongbong Marcos assured the people of the Aeta communities that the government aid is the money of the people given back to them.
During an aid distribution program in Pampanga, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. stood before the Aeta communities. In the same event, he remarked in front of the people that the aid from the government was something they accordingly should not be thankful for, as it is just their money through taxes being given back to them.
“Huwag na kayong mag-thank you dahil trabaho talaga namin ito. Pera ninyo ito, kaya binabalik lang namin sa inyo ito,” Marcos said to beneficiaries at the Katutubo Village in Barangay Planas in Porac, Pampanga on Friday, October 3. He reiterated that it is their job to do it.
This aid distribution event was part of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pag-abot program. During this moment, carabaos and farm implements were distributed to 127 beneficiaries and PHP 10,000.00 in financial assistance to each of 1,200 others.
Marcos stated that the DSWD will keep exploring ways to provide support to Filipinos in need and added, “At ito po ay kaya naman — handa naman ang pamahalaan na magawa lahat upang mapaginhawa ang inyong buhay.”
Marcos Jr. also announced that the Aeta community will get their land title, stressing that Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s declaration that they will soon get their land title is not a simple matter.
“Hindi po maliit na bagay ‘yung kaka-announce lang ni Congresswoman [Gloria Macapagal Arroyo] na ‘yung titulo ng lupa ay mabibigay na para hindi na po kayo nag-aalala,” he stated.
Previously, Arroyo expressed to the president that something is about to happen in his term that will make the community love him even more.
