Chie Filomeno asked people not to drag the Lhuillier family into the recent issue involving her
Actress Chie Filomeno has broken her silence on her past relationship and the recent rumors involving businessman Matthew Lhuillier.
The recent issue about Chie involved her breakup with actor Jake Cuenca. Social media personality Xian Gaza shared on his Facebook post that Chie left Jake for Matthew. It was said that Jake was so devastated by what happened between him and Chie.
Allegedly, the actress stayed in Cebu, where Matthew is based, and the actor was still hoping that their relationship would still be okay.
It was also alleged that Matthew Lhuillier had a girlfriend, and the woman just learned about Chie Filomeno through Xian Gaza’s post.
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared in a recent episode of his Showbiz Update vlog that the Lhuillier family investigated the actress. Allegedly, they found out something significant that they disliked. However, Ogie did not divulge what that “something” was.
Following the breakup issue and the rumors linking her to the businessman from a wealthy clan, Chie wrote a statement through her Instagram Story.
She said that she has been reading and hearing a lot these past few days. With this, she asked for privacy amid the breakup issue and requested that the public leave the Lhuillier family out of this.
“They don’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing to do with them,” the actress said. She also said that people could not expect further statements from her at this time.
Chie also asked the public to refrain from making speculations and avoid intruding into her private affairs. “Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” Chie Filomeno added.
As of this writing, Jake Cuenca has not yet spoken about his breakup with the actress.
