Apollo Quiboloy Hospitalized While Facing Multiple Charges in US & Philippines

From Courtroom to Hospital Bed: Quiboloy’s Health Crisis Unfolds

QUIBOLOY – Supporters and critics alike are closely watching Quiboloy’s health update after news broke that he was rushed to a hospital due to breathing difficulties.

Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy, who calls himself the “appointed son of God” and once served as spiritual adviser to former President Rodrigo Duterte, is battling a series of criminal cases in both the United States and the Philippines while receiving medical treatment in a hospital.

A federal grand jury in the US District Court for the Central District of California indicted Quiboloy on grave offenses. These include conspiracy to commit s*x trafficking through force, fraud, and coercion, sex trafficking of minors, and bulk cash smuggling. Several senior KOJC officials in the US were also implicated in the case, which authorities describe as part of a large-scale operation.

In the Philippines, the religious leader is facing separate proceedings. He has been charged with qualified human trafficking before the Pasig City court and sexual abuse before the Quezon City court. These cases have drawn intense public scrutiny, especially given his strong influence in both the religious and political arenas.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) confirmed that Quiboloy was transferred to a public hospital on September 11, 2025, after experiencing breathing problems while in custody. Doctors later diagnosed him with community-acquired pneumonia classified as moderate risk.

As of September 30, 2025, BJMP reported that Quiboloy is still under confinement but remains stable and is showing signs of recovery. Officials assured the public that he continues to receive appropriate medical care.

News of his hospitalization has reignited debate over his ongoing legal troubles. Supporters insist that he is being persecuted, while critics argue that he must be held accountable for the serious accusations he faces.

With criminal cases pending in both the US and the Philippines, the future of Quiboloy remains unclear. For now, focus remains on his health condition and how the courts in two countries will proceed with the high-profile charges lodged against him.
