Shuvee Etrata’s closeness with Vice Ganda is now being questioned
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda had a fierce pronouncement on It’s Showtime, and netizens thought that it had something to do with Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata.
To recall, Vice and other hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show welcomed Shuvee as a guest co-host. It can be seen that the main host of the show was fond of the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab edition alumna.
Shuvee did several appearances on the show, but this came to a halt after her old video went viral. Netizens shared on social media a screen recording of her past livestream in which she showed support and thanked former President Rodrigo Duterte.
She was bashed for being a pro-Duterte. Then, some of her old posts against ABS-CBN during the height of the shutdown issue resurfaced, and Vice’s face was featured in this. This did not sit well with the fans of the Unkabogable Star. After that, Shuvee has not yet appeared on It’s Showtime.
In a recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, a contestant mentioned that she admires Vice Ganda. The comedian-host jokingly mocked the contestant, making the other hosts laugh.
“Kunyari lang idol niyo ako pero bina-bash niyo ako pag may mga eksena ako sa Facebook. O, di ba? Pinagloloko-loko mo lang ako. Mga echosera kayo dito! Kunyari close-close tayo pero may mga post naman kayong chaka tungkol sa akin!” Vice said. Netizen @MIRAbellabells on X, formerly Twitter, shared this clip.

Another netizen asked if Shuvee is now feeling the burden on her conscience amid the issue.

ABS-CBN gave her exposure, Vice Ganda amplified her fame by featuring her in a vlog and later as a host on It’s Showtime. But now, it seems her career may never see the light of day again.

Previously, Shuvee Etrata already apologized for the old statement. She said that she had already learned from the past. The Kapuso actress also received support from GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes. As an executive of the Kapuso network, Ms. Annette said that they are 110 percent behind Shuvee.
