Heart Evangelista spoke about the nature of her work, which is now being questioned
Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista asserted the complete separation of assets with her husband, Senator Chiz Escudero.
Heart’s lavish lifestyle has become an issue following the accusations against Sen. Chiz. It was alleged that the senator was part of the anomalous flood control projects.
To recall, Sen. Chiz admitted that he received PHP30 million campaign donation from contractor Lawrence Lubiano, who owns the Centerways Construction and Development, which was mentioned by President Bongbong Marcos as one of the alleged 15 companies involved in the flood control project anomalies.
However, the Senator stressed that he did not hook Lubiano to any flood control project. Because of this issue, netizens questioned Heart Evangelista’s luxurious way of living. She is currently focused on being a fashion influencer and collaborating with luxury brands.
In a recent social media live, based on the article in PEP, Heart stressed that before getting married, he and Sen. Chiz had a prenuptial agreement, as advised by the late Senator and lawyer Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
The Kapuso actress said, “Which means we have complete separation of assets. What is mine is mine. What’s his is his.”
She also said that it was hurtful for her to encounter comments diminishing her hard work to reach where she is now. “And that is diminished. Your hard work is diminished, your hard work is all of a sudden nothing, just because you are now a mere political wife…” she said.
Heart Evangelista pointed out that she has been working for 30 years now, and she is now reaping all that she worked hard for. She said that she can provide for her own lavish lifestyle because she is hardworking.
