The contractor who is tied with the Centerways Construction claimed that he allegedly used his personal money was donation to Escudero. Amid the flood control mess in the country that dragged his name, Escudero was ousted from his position in the Senate.

Now-Senate Pres. Tito Sotto replaced former Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero amid the flood control corruption issue in the country now. Countless Filipinos were disappointed by the discovery of several ‘ghost’ and substandard flood control projects funded by the government.

According to Marcos Jr., he wants the contractors to complete the flood control projects using their money with quality materials. Amid the issue, the Commission on Elections clarified that the rules do not allow campaign donation for candidates from contractors with existing contracts with the government.
