SUPER TYPHOON NANDO – The weather state bureau, PAGASA, releases the latest information about the super typhoon.
Super Typhoon Nando (Ragasa), the 14th tropical cyclone to hit the Philippines in 2025, is posing a threat to Northern and Central Luzon. It is expected to unleash moderate to intense rainfall along with violent winds, prompting the hoisting of Signal No. 5 over the Babuyan Islands on Monday, September 22.

It also enhanced the southwest monsoon or habagat that is affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recently released the latest details about the super typhoon, and based on the update, it made landfall over Panuitan Island in Calayan, Cagayan, and is moving away from Babuyan Islands.
At 4 PM, the center of its eye was over the coastal waters of Calayan Is., Calayan, Cagayan, moving westward at 25 km/hr with maximum sustained winds of 215 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 295 km/h, and a central pressure of 910 hPa
