Gas Stations to Impose Another Oil Price Increase This Week

Another Oil Price Increase Expected This Week, According to Gas Stations

OIL PRICE UPDATE – Several gasoline stations across the country are set to implement another round of oil price hikes this week.

Filipino motorists are advised to brace for higher petroleum product prices. Gasoline will see its sixth consecutive week of increases, while diesel and kerosene prices will rise for the fifth straight week.

Starting Tuesday (September 23, 2025), oil companies such as Shell Pilipinas, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, and PetroGazz will raise pump prices by P1.00 per liter for gasoline and P0.80 per liter for both diesel and kerosene.

Cleanfuel, PetroGazz, and PTT Philippines Corp. will implement the same adjustments, except for kerosene, which they do not sell.

Most fuel companies will apply the new prices at 6:00 a.m., but Cleanfuel will impose the increase later in the day at 4:01 p.m. Other gasoline stations are expected to announce similar price changes within the week.

Last week, gasoline prices increased by P0.10 per liter, diesel by P0.50 per liter, and kerosene by P0.10 per liter.

As of September 16, 2025, the year-to-date adjustments show a total net increase of P13.50 per liter for gasoline, P15.35 per liter for diesel, and P3.55 per liter for kerosene.

The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine remains at the center of the problem. Drone attacks on Russian energy facilities have disrupted supplies, while the conflict itself has left oil markets unstable.

On top of this, the United States has tightened sanctions not only on Russian oil but also on countries like India and China that continue to purchase it. These restrictions, combined with the European Union’s plans for more sanctions, have added pressure on global oil flows.

Rising demand in the ‘Ber’ months has also contributed to the surge, as more energy is consumed in colder regions. With supply squeezed and demand growing, prices have continued their upward climb, straining consumers around the world, including those in the Philippines.
