Darryl Yap Shares Message on Alleged Sale of Human Waste for Upcoming Protest
Filipino film director Darryl Yap shared a message he received claiming that human waste was allegedly being sold for use in a protest.
On his Facebook account, Yap posted a screenshot of the message sent to him about this unusual matter happening ahead of the protest scheduled for Sunday (September 21, 2025). The post quickly went viral and elicited reactions online.
The Facebook page “Tambayan NG Pulis” also issued a warning regarding these circulating talks. It reminded the public that using or throwing human waste during rallies is not only unsanitary but also against the law.

Authorities pointed out that such an act could result in multiple violations, including direct assault if aimed at police officers, alarms and scandals for causing panic, and grave scandal for committing something offensive in public.
Aside from the Revised Penal Code, such behavior also falls under the Sanitation Code, the Civil Code, and the Public Assembly Act. Possible penalties include fines, jail time, and heavier charges if someone gets hurt or sick because of it.

“Halimbawa:
The reminder emphasized that rallies are protected forms of expression, but they must be carried out peacefully and responsibly. Turning them into scenes of chaos by throwing waste not only endangers public health but also damages the purpose of the protest itself.
While many remain skeptical about whether this alleged sale of human waste is true, the discussion shows the need for discipline and respect in exercising the right to assemble.
