BIMBY AQUINO – Son of Kris Aquino and James Yap, Bimby Aquino has begun vocal training with singer and coach Thor Dulay under Cornerstone Entertainment, sparking talk of a potential entry into the entertainment industry.
Bimby Aquino is beginning to carve his own path in the entertainment industry. The 17-year-old was recently spotted inside the studio of Cornerstone Entertainment, taking vocal coaching sessions with acclaimed singer and vocal mentor Thor Dulay.
Cornerstone Entertainment shared a glimpse of Bimby’s training on Instagram, posting a photo of him alongside Thor. In the caption, “Present here at Cornerstone Entertainment is the one and only Bimb Aquino!”

Bimby Aquino is now taking vocal coaching sessions with Cornerstone Entertainment, the company wrote, sparking buzz among fans and industry watchers alike.
Speculation about Bimby’s showbiz debut first circulated in 2023 when he was photographed with Cornerstone president Erickson Raymundo, vice president Jeffrey Vadillo, senior artist handler Cristine Calawod, and television personality Boy Abunda. The image, which quickly spread online, carried the caption that the Cornerstone family was with Bimby and that exciting days were ahead for the young star.
Before this chapter, Bimby had been living in the United States with his mother during her medical treatments. Kris Aquino has long been vocal about her battle with multiple autoimmune diseases, and Bimby stayed by her side throughout her health journey. The mother-and-son duo returned to the Philippines in 2024.
That same year, Kris revealed in an interview that Bimby needed to begin working to contribute to her medical expenses. She also shared her firm stance on his identity in showbiz, explaining that she would not allow any changes to his name. He would stay as ‘Bimb,’ with no last name, similar to the style of singer Drake, she explained.
Born on April 19, 2007, Bimby grew up under the public eye as the son of two of the country’s most recognizable personalities. Now, with professional vocal training and the backing of Cornerstone Entertainment, it appears he is preparing to step into the limelight on his own terms.
