Lady Customer Expresses Frustration After Buying Lumpiang Shanghai w/ Almost No Filling

A lady customer has expressed her disappointment after buying a lumpiang shanghai with almost no filling.

Food lovers often look forward to enjoying lumpiang shanghai, a Filipino favorite known for its tasty meat filling wrapped in a crunchy roll. But for one woman, her experience left her frustrated after buying lumpiang shanghai that turned out to be almost empty inside.

Recently, Jen Mendoza, a Facebook user, shared photos of the lumpia she bought for 20 pesos at a community bazaar. To her dismay, the rolls had very little meat inside, with most of it being just the wrapper.

The post immediately spread like wildfire on socila media and elicited comments from the online community.

Mendoza explained that she runs a small canteen and knows how food costing works. While she understands that preparing and wrapping lumpia takes effort and adds to the price, she felt the product she bought was not worth it.

According to her, the spring rolls had only around three percent meat, which made them far from the lumpiang shanghai people usually expect.

Many netizens who saw her post shared the same sentiment. Some sympathized with her disappointment, saying they also experienced buying food that looked good on the outside but lacked substance once eaten.

Others pointed out the importance of being fair when selling food, especially in community bazaars where locals come to enjoy simple treats.

While sellers may want to earn, buyers also expect honesty and decent quality for what they pay. Small details like properly filled lumpia can make a big difference in customer satisfaction.

This Lumpiang Shanghai is 3 percent meat and all wrapper. Lagay ninyo nalang Lumpia Wrapper na nagpapangap na Shanghai. ii know that kasama sa costing ang effort sa pagbabalot and all. Pero atleast gawin naman decent.”
